Hello, I'm
Ashley Holmes.

Hi, I’m Ashley Holmes, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and founder of Hope for Growth Therapy.

I created Hope for Growth Therapy from a deep passion for providing compassionate, authentic, and accessible mental health care to individuals and families throughout California. Since beginning my clinical work in 2020, I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families across a wide range of emotional and life challenges.

My clinical experience includes working with anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, ADHD, grief, family conflict, parenting stress, substance use, relationship challenges, child welfare involvement, and justice-system related stressors. I have also worked extensively with neurodivergent individuals and families navigating complex systems and caregiving demands.

My approach to therapy is warm, relational, down-to-earth, and nonjudgmental. I believe healing happens when people feel emotionally safe enough to be fully seen, heard, and understood without shame. Therapy is not about perfection — it is about creating space for honesty, growth, accountability, healing, and self-compassion.

As both a clinician and founder, my goal is to build a practice rooted in human connection and high-quality care. While my personal availability for ongoing therapy services may occasionally be limited, I carefully build and supervise a team of clinicians who share the same values, compassion, and client-centered philosophy that Hope for Growth Therapy was founded on. My hope is that every client who reaches out feels supported, respected, and connected with a therapist who is the right fit for their unique needs and goals.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session will be about getting to know one another. I believe that you have to vibe with your therapist and make sure you feel comfortable opening up to someone about your biggest vulnerabilities so for me that would be allowing you to tell me about yourself, gathering some information that may help me know you a little more and being open to any questions you have for me.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I am a people person and I am personable and relatable to my clients. Being myself, real and authentic helps my clients see that I am a human too and not just a professional who is working off of textbook only. I am culturally diverse and am open to all different stories and walks of life.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I have served clients dealing with stressors and problems with the legal and child welfare system, dealing with Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, PTSD, ADHD, Grief, Parenting conflict, family conflict, Anger Management, DV for Victims and Perps, and Substance Abuse. I enjoy each population differently and my ultimate goal is to just help guide others to their true authentic self, free from their problems, and help heal those I cross paths with. My observation has been that we are all here just trying to do our best with what we have and we are capable to get to the desired life we want if we just take that step towards change.

My Treatment Methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I utilize ACT to help clients establish their core values and work on moving towards their long term goals while aligning with their values.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help client identify and move towards reducing symptoms by teaching skills for coping, skills for symptom reduction, behavioral action, and educating clients on how different presenting problems may be impacting their functioning.

Psychodynamic

I help clients tap into how the past may have influenced their behaviors in the present by guiding them to self awareness and understanding.

Attachment-based

I help clients understand how early childhood experiences may have played a role in how an individual operates in relationships or how they form bonds with others in relationships.

I'd love to meet you.
